1970 Ford Mustang Boss 302 Profile and history

The 1970 Mustang changed slightly from '69 and included a dual-unit headlamp rather than a quad unit used earlier.

390ci was dropped and Cleveland entered Windsor 351. Mach 1, Boss 302, and Boss 429 back Mach 1 still maintains 428CJ as a top power generator.

Mustang Grande is basically a luxury package and one can choice on any machine. It comes with comfort features like Landau vinyl roof. Includes high bucket seats, and wood grain instrument panel.

Mach 1 is specifically built for those who want performance. The 351ci base includes an axle water spoon, although it is simulated, and you can choose the V8s 429ci for more aggressive performance.

Boss 302 uses a redesigned dual exhaust system, a competition suspension, and a standard Hurst shifter. A smaller intake valve can be found, along with an aluminum valve cover of '69.

The 429 boss has a new gloss black ax scoop, and a Grabber color for 1970 with a limited production of 500 units.
